Tourisme Montréal has begun a promotion called the “Coffret gourmand 100% Montréal.” The initiative consists of a box containing with a selection of local food products. The promotion is being conducted through the tourism organization’s Office montréalais de la gastronomie department. The box is intended to promote and facilitate access to Montreal foods and promote the city as a gastronomic destination. It will be available for purchase at 12 hotels in the city, including Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal and the Auberge du Vieux-Port. It will also be available to companies or organizations seeking corporate gifts. The boxes will be assembled by Le Panier Québécois.

“Montreal's gastronomy is creative and delicious,” said Yves Lalumière, president and CEO of Tourisme Montréal. “Many of the products in this box have won international accolades and are exemplary representatives of our city, which has everything it takes to be named the gastronomic capital of North America. You'll find incredible alternatives to your imported foods in this box.”
