Tourisme Montreal begins summer campaign

Tourisme Montréal has begun an online promotion encouraging residents of the city to patronize local attractions during the summer. According to the organization, the campaign is intended to communicate that “Montreal has rediscovered its joie de vivre and is celebrating summer while respecting health and safety measures.”

It makes use of the organization’s website at <http://www.mtl.org>, which offers a collection of information about local attractions, restaurants, hotels, tours and rebates. As part of the promotion, Tourisme Montréal has adapted its Passeport MTL program to appeal to local and regional tourists. The pass offers access to five Montreal attractions for a single price.

“Tourisme Montréal is launching its first summer campaign ever for Montrealers to highlight the reopening of our city and its impressive resilience,” said Yves Lalumière, CEO of Tourisme Montréal. “We are inviting citizens to become tourists in their own city and discover or rediscover it by enjoying its many attractions and the packages that have been introduced not only to perk us up after months of confinement, but support our business owners, restaurants, hotels who have been hit hard by the COVID-19 crisis.”
