By Adnews Staff
The RP Research Foundation-Fighting Blindness is looking for sponsors for its national Vision Tour taking place next summer. Burlington, Ont. resident Chris Delaney is legally blind. He is doing a cross-Canada tandem bike ride next summer to raise money for the foundation. He will be making stops along the way at media events and press conferences. Five sponsorship packages are available: exclusive, title, national, tour and special credit. Costs of the packages range from $2,000 to over $50,000. Wire Communications of Toronto is handling the sponsorships. The RP Research Foundation is a national volunteer-based organization founded in 1974 with chapters across the country. It raises funds for research into Retinitis Pigmentosa disease. Retinitis Pigmentosa causes the retina to degenerate, leading usually to tunnel vision, night blindness and eventually total blindness.
