Dixie Outlet Mall debuts VR Adventure Lounge

Mississauga-based shopping centre Dixie Outlet Mall has begun a promotion in collaboration with Samsung called the "VR Adventure Lounge." The lounge will operate from Aug. 12 to Sept. 4. Visitors to the space can use Samsung Gear VR headsets to experience one of several virtual reality simulations, such as trips through jungles and oceans. The space also offers free wireless internet access, as well as snacks and beverages. In addition, consumers will be entered into a draw for a $500 back-to-school shopping spree at the mall.
"We are very excited to introduce this innovative and interactive technology to our customers," said Cristina Avila, marketing director at Dixie Outlet Mall. "This back-to-school lounge is like nothing we've ever done before. Our shoppers' needs are evolving and they're looking for a more dynamic and well-rounded shopping experience. Our goal with the VR Adventure Lounge is to create an exhilarating atmosphere that complements the feeling of scoring incredible outlet deals."
