CIBC conducts virtual concierge promotion in Toronto

CIBC is conducting a promotion in Toronto featuring a vending machine called the "CIBC Aventura Virtual Concierge." The machine has been installed at Toronto Pearson International Airport to coincide with the March Break travel period. Consumers who interact with the machine by swiping a CIBC Aventura card and answering a series of questions will receive a prize intended to reflect their travel needs. Two grand prize winner will receive 500,000 Aventura loyalty points and a five-night Caribbean cruise. The promotion was developed by Fuse Marketing Group.
"Our concierge is smart and savvy," said Patrick Weir, creative director at Fuse. "It detects and tracks people around it and records video with several cameras. Many brands have created vending machines, but we wanted to push the boundaries with this execution, so we've equipped it with an inventory control system and custom façade that offers a customized reward based on an algorithm. It is a virtual concierge who will bring a smile to a traveler's face."
