New Balance hires Apex Public Relations

Athletic footwear company New Balance Canada has retained Apex Public Relations of Toronto as its public relations agency of record. The assignment also includes endorsement initiatives, social media activities and digital marketing support. Apex won the account in a competitive pitch process. It will begin work with a national media relations campaign for the holiday season and the company's spring product line, as well as support for a new program called 'Girls Night Out' that will begin in January.

"We are looking forward to working with Apex and building on our forward momentum," said Jon Purdy, marketing manager at New Balance Canada. "As we roll out our new brand platform, 'Always in Beta,' we will need the support of a strong agency that is constantly striving to improve and evolve with us. Apex's creative approach, demonstrated understanding of our brand purpose and willingness to push limits fit perfectly with our attitude and core values."
