Volkswagen conducts Unforgettable campaign

Volkswagen Canada of Ajax, ON is conducting an advertising campaign for its 2015 Tiguan sport utility vehicle and Passat sedan. The campaign, called "Unforgettable," was developed by DDB Canada. This is the firm's first creative work for Volkswagen as its agency of record.

The Tiguan campaign includes a television commercial depicting a man driving his teenaged daughter and her date to the prom. English and French versions of the ad will run on television and online through the year, supported by local dealership print ads, online video pre-roll, digital ads, social media activities and a sponsorship of the NHL playoffs.

The Passat television commercial depicts an examiner being distracted by the quality of the car during a teenager's driving test. The ad will run on specialty television channels and online in English and French through the year. It will also be suppported with dealer print ads, digital ads and social media elements.

"The creative for both the Tiguan and Passat seamlessly integrate each vehicle into the advertising, which feels natural and plays a key role in the story," said Cosmo Campbell, chief creative officer at DDB Canada. "Not only is the vehicle featured as an integral character in each storyline, it's the distinct driving experience of each model that ultimately saves the day."
