La Roche-Posay begins Skinchecker campaign
By Adnews Staff
La Roche-Posay, a division of L'Oréal Canada, has begun an international skin cancer awareness campaign called "Skinchecker." The campaign encourages consumers to check their moles to aid in the early detection of melanomas. As part of the campaign, La Roche-Posay will offer free mole checks in Toronto on May 4 and in Vancouver during the World Dermatology Conference from June 9 to 11. The promotion also makes use of a website at <http://www.laroche-posay.ca/skinchecker>, where consumers can download a guide to checking for skin cancer.
"As a longstanding partner of dermatologists, dermatological research and all those who suffer from sensitive skin issues, La Roche-Posay believes this campaign will help save lives here in Canada and around the world," said Josee Bordeleau, medical relations lead at La Roche-Posay.
