Canadian Film Fest conducts anti-cliche campaign

The Canadian Film Fest has begun an advertising campaign promoting its 2015 event. The campaign, called "The Academy of Cliché," was developed by J. Walter Thompson Canada. It consists of a two-minute cinema ad and three television commercials. The creative depicts the festival as a place where the usual movies clichés can be avoided. The ads take the form of a tour of a training centre where actors learn a series of familiar movie scenarios. The campaign uses the tagline, "Escape the Cliché." The 2015 Canadian Film Fest will run from March 25 to 28 in Toronto.
