KEG RESTAURANTS ON CHOPPING BLOCK

Vancouver-based Keg Restaurants has been put up for sale. The chain of steak restaurants is owned by British beer, sport and restaurant conglomerate Whitbread PLC. The company says it is selling the chain so it can concentrate on its European businesses. Canadian advertising for the Keg is done by Campbell & Partners of Toronto. The Keg has 81 restaurants, 60 of them in Canada and the rest in the U.S.
