Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards hires NKPR
By Adnews Staff
The Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards has retained NKPR of Toronto to handle public relations for its second annual event. The agency will develop a national media relations program leading up to the organization's gala on Jan. 31, 2015 in Toronto. It will also support the mandate of the awards to foster the appreciation of the Canadian fashion industry.
"There is a major opportunity for us to support the evolution of the fashion industry in this country," said NKPR president Natasha Koifman. "CAFA serves to raise the profile of key fashion players, while also shining a light on the need for funding, mentorship and infrastructure for emerging and established talent. CAFA has stepped up as a leader and an advocate for an industry that is bursting with talent, but needs to be more widely recognized and strongly supported."
