Hyundai readies dealership rebranding initiative

Hyundai Auto Canada of Markham, ON has begun a program to introduce a new visual style to its 211 Canadian dealerships nationally. The new design is intended to "elevate the Hyundai customer experience" and project a sense of refinement and sophistication. Dealerships will be remodeled with a bronze-coloured roof structure, with the brand's traditional blue colour used as an interior accent. Interiors will also feature new furniture, customer lounges and digital kiosks, as well as plants and a floor designed to resemble a natural landscape. Each dealership will also incorporate a separate area showcasing its higher-end vehicles. The new look will first be introduced in Canadian Hyundai dealerships now under construction or renovation. The style will then be rolled-out to existing dealerships over time. The program is part of the automaker's international Global Dealership Space Identity initiative.

"The automotive industry is filled with brands that adhere to primary colours such as blue or red, and it's time for Hyundai dealerships to stand out among the competition the same way Hyundai vehicles stand-out on the road," said Don Romano, president and CEO of Hyundai Auto Canada. "Rather than abandon our history with the blue colour to pursue a new direction, that colour will be found throughout the new dealership design in strategic, highly visible customer centric areas. Our goal for GDSI is to introduce a more modern, premium look to our dealerships that will elevate the perception Canadians have of our brand."
