Hyundai begins EV Road Trip
By Derek Winkler
Hyundai Auto Canada of Markham, ON has begun a campaign called “The Hyundai Canada EV Road Trip” to promote its Ioniq 5 electric vehicle. During the campaign, an Ioniq 5 owner named Patrick Nadeau will drive 15,000 km from the company’s head office to the shore of the Arctic Ocean at Tuktoyaktuk, NT. During the trip, he will create a variety of social media and virtual reality content. The VR content will be offered for free to paediatric cancer organizations through the Hyundai Hope on Wheels program.
“This project is more than just a road trip,” said Christine Smith, director of marketing at Hyundai Canada. “It's a statement of purpose. We believe in an electrified future that is accessible, reliable and inspiring for all Canadians from urban centres to the furthest reaches of the North.”
