National Geographic joins Next Issue Canada

National Geographic has joined the Next Issue Canada digital magazine distribution service. Users of the subscription-based service will be able to access digital editions of publications including National Geographic, National Geographic Traveler, National Geographic Kids and National Geographic Little Kids.

"At Next Issue, we are continuously expanding our catalogue to deliver incomparable access to the publications readers value most," said Steve Maich, senior vice-president of publishing at Rogers. "The National Geographic suite of magazines is among the most respected and well-known brands in the world, and adding them to our catalogue enhances the breadth of best-in-class content available to subscribers of all ages."

Next Issue Canada, which launched last year, is a joint venture of US-based Next Issue Media and Rogers Media of Toronto. It carries approximately 140 titles, which consumers can access for a monthly fee, primarily using tablet devices. Next Issue Media is a joint venture Condé Nast, Hearst, Meredith, News Corp. and Time.
