BATES TO GET NEW CHIEF

Bates Canada has reached south of the border for a new boss. Patrick Knisley has been appointed president and CEO of the Canadian office effective Nov. 1. Currently he is executive vice-president at Bates USA of New York, working mainly on the Miller Brewing Company account. Knisley has also worked at Young & Rubicam of New York. At Bates Canada he is replacing Malcolm Cullen, who is leaving to pursue outside interests.
