New editor at National Post

Postmedia Network of Toronto has appointed Anne Marie Owens to the position of editor of the National Post. She will begin work on June 9. Owens has spent the past three years as deputy editor of Maclean's magazine. Prior to that, she held a series of positions at the National Post dating to before its launch in 1998, including national reporter, news features editor, assistant managing editor and managing editor of news. She has also worked at the St. Catharines Standard.
