Testicular Cancer Canada conducts television campaign

Testicular Cancer Canada has begun a new advertising campaign intended to inform young men of the warning signs of the disease. The campaign, developed by Grip of Toronto, consists of television and radio advertising, as well as a mobile website at <http://www.testiclecheck.ca>. Media work for the campaign was handled by MediaCom Canada. The creative depicts a number of characters such as police officers and auto mechanics checking men for testicular cancer. The ads use the tagline, "No one's going to check them for you."

"Young guys are used to having everything done for them," said Dave Chiavegato, a partner at Grip. "They often take a reactive approach to health, especially when they're younger. They feel invincible. Guys assume someone else will take care of their problems. We want to remind young males that their health and well-being is in their own hands, so to speak."
