Volunteer Canada, Investors Group conduct joint promotion

Volunteer Canada and Investors Group are conducting a national campaign tied to National Volunteer Week. The campaign is intended to thank the 13.3 million people who volunteer in Canada. It makes use of a toll-free number called the "Volunt-Hear Hotline." Consumers are encouraged to call the line before April 12 and leave a message about how a volunteer has impacted their lives.The messages will then be posted online at Volunteer.ca and shared via social media sites. Consumers can also submit messages of thanks via Twitter.
"Investors Group believes in the value and importance of volunteering," said Murray Taylor, president and CEO of Investors Group. "We are proud to sponsor a campaign that encourages people to actively participate in recognizing volunteers. Saying thank you is simple, but it is also a strong way to recognize volunteers for the enormous impact they make in our communities and lives."
