Etsy hires Rock-it Promotions

Online marketplace Etsy has retained Rock-it Promotions of Toronto as is Canadian public relations agency of record. The company will develop campaigns in collaboration with the in-house staff at Etsy Canada in an effort to generate media coverage and to increase awareness of the brand. Etsy provides an online storefront service for artists to sell homemade and vintage items.

"Etsy by its very nature is a global marketplace, but we want to take the Etsy brand to the audience not aware of it yet," said Erin Green, Canadian country lead at Etsy. "We want to be top of mind for Canadians when it comes to accessing the most unique items from around the world, or that must-have piece from a local artist down the street."
