Tim Hortons readies 50th anniversary promotions

Tim Hortons of Oakville, ON is preparing a series of promotional initiatives tied to its upcoming 50th anniversary in May. The first of these consists of a special 50th anniversary logo and packaging, as well as the tagline, "50 Years Fresh." The packaging includes hot and cold beverage cups, bags, boxes and take-home coffee. The company is also planning a line of commemorative merchandise such as travel mugs, which will be sold in stores and online beginning in April. Additional anniversary-themed campaigns will lead up to the anniversary on May 17. A social media campaign is currently underway, making use of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

"From a single location in Hamilton that opened in 1964, we've grown to serve nearly eight out of every 10 cups of coffee sold in Canada.
