Wrigley Canada conducts Get Skittles Rich contest

Wrigley Canada recently concluded an online contest promotion for its Skittles brand of candy called "Get Skittles Rich." During the six-week promotion, consumers could visit a website at <http://www.getskittlesrich.com> to watch an online video. Entrants could then share the video, receiving four virtual Skittles each time the shared video was viewed and six virtual Skittles each time one of those viewers signed-up for the contest. The entrant who amassed the most candy during the contest won. The contest was won by Chelsea Middleton of Victoria, who received the grand prize of one million real Skittles.

"In my mind it was easy to think of Skittles richness as greatness," said Middleton. "I just hope I can live up to the strong sense of character expected of a Skittles Millionaire. Naturally someone in my position would receive a lot of investment advice or would be encouraged to give away part of the winnings. I'm going to take some to think about my next move to ensure I can taste the rainbow for a long time."
