Rogers brings new loyalty program to Ontario

Rogers Communications of Toronto has introduced a new loyalty program in Ontario called Rogers First Rewards. The program is now rolling-out in the Greater Toronto Area and will expand to Ottawa, Kingston, Sudbury and other cities in the province over several weeks. The program debuted in Alberta in July.

Rogers customers who join the program will receive points for eligible purchases. Consumers will be placed into tiers based on their average monthly spending with Rogers. Members of higher tiers will receive more points per dollar spent. The points can be redeemed online at <http://www.rogersfirstrewards.com> for various cable, wireless and Internet products and services.

"Rogers First Rewards is a great opportunity to show customers that we appreciate and value their business," said John Boynton, chief marketing officer at Rogers Communications. "The Ontario launch is a significant milestone for the program, and we look forward to continuing our roll out to more markets later this year. We've seen great initial participation since launch. A number of customers are already repeat redeemers, especially for rewards like Video OnDemand. By offering additional access to high demand services like roaming packages and premium TV content, we're giving customers more of the things they value."
