One King West begins 100th anniversary promotion

One King West Hotel & Residence in Toronto has begun a promotion commemorating the 100th anniversary of the building, constructed in 1914 as the headquarters of The Dominion Bank. The year-long initiative will run until July 1, 2014, consisting of a series of special events and activities. The campaign will also include postcards featuring historical images of Toronto and the installation of an interactive mural around the property, as well as a photographic timeline of the hotel's history. Another component will be a Facebook contest with weekly hotel prize packages. Advertising and event marketing will support the overall initiative. The campaign was developed by Your Brand Integrated Marketing Communications of Toronto. "We are excited to be celebrating the building's 100th anniversary," said Steve O'Brien, general manager at One King West. "Our unique building is a historic pillar of Toronto and has become an integral part of the downtown core. Our property has had the privilege of watching and being a part of 100 years of Toronto history."
