Tim Hortons begins Chill to Win contest

Tim Hortons has begun a new contest promotion called "Chill to Win" in support of its Iced Cap product. During the national contest, consumers who purchase the beverage can win various hourly prizes, daily prizes of $1,000, or one of 10 grand prizes of a $10,000 MasterCard prepaid credit card. Hourly prizes include digital cameras and Coleman beach kits. The contest makes use of tabs on the sides of beverage cups that can be peeled off to reveal a code number. The number can be checked online at <http://www.chilltowin.com> to potentially win an hourly prize. Consumer who check a code will be automatically entered into draws for the daily and overall prizes. "Nine out of ten frozen coffee drinks sold in Canada are served at Tim Hortons," said Dave McKay, vice-president of beverages at Tim Hortons. "Canadians are choosing Iced Capp over any other option in the marketplace, so we wanted to do something to celebrate summer and reward our loyal guests."
