Loblaws debuts smartphone loyalty program

Grocery store chain Loblaw Companies Limited has launched a new loyalty program called PC Plus in its Ontario Loblaws locations. The digital program is aimed at users of smartphones. It is intended to monitor customer purchases and deliver personalized offers. It will also provide meal recommendations based on a combination of items on sale and foods the customer likes to buy. It also incorporates a shopping list to which customers can add items from Loblaws flyers, from recipes and from their special offers. The application is available for Android, Apple and Blackberry devices. Loblaw is a subsidiary of George Weston Limited.
