Postmedia Network of Toronto has redesigned the website of The Windsor Star, a daily newspaper serving the Windsor and Essex County regions of Ontario. The new site, located at <http://www.windsorstar.com>, makes use of a responsive design that adapts its layout to viewing on computers, tablets or smartphones. The site is also intended to be faster, more streamlined and easier to navigate. According to Postmedia, the new site is a pilot project introduced in advance of a similar design roll-out to all of its newspaper websites in 2013. "We redesigned our website with our audience in mind," said Marty Beneteau, publisher and editor-in-chief of the paper. "The new responsive website allows our audience to access their favourite Windsor content online wherever and whenever they want in a format that's automatically right for their device of choice."
