Canadian Cancer Society continues FearLess Project

As part of its The FearLess Project, the Canadian Cancer Society will conduct a promotional event in Toronto on Nov. 29. The one-day installation will be located at Brookfield Place in downtown Toronto and will feature eight tree-like structures will fears associated with cancer attached to the branches. The fears have been collected online at <http://www.thefearlessproject.ca> over the past month. "We know that fear of cancer is a huge issue in Ontario, and can actually prevent people from being proactive about seeing a doctor, ultimately affecting health outcomes and their ability to get the care and help they need," said Susan Horvath, vice-president of leadership philanthropy at the Ontario division of the Canadian Cancer Society. "We launched The FearLess Project to help Ontarians begin to acknowledge and share their fears and demonstrate how the Canadian Cancer Society can help play a role in alleviating those fears."
