American Express Canada promotes new card online

American Express Canada has begun a marketing campaign for its new ChoicePlus card. The card is aimed primarily at young urban consumers. It incorporates a loyalty program by which participants can choose from a list of merchants from which to receive double the normal amount of loyalty points. The marketing plan for the card consists exclusively of online advertising and social media activities conducted via sites including YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. "With customer service at the forefront of the our brand, we are always evolving and expanding our programs and products to better meet our cardmembers' needs, and see this new card as a fresh approach for the industry," said Jennifer Hawkins, general manager and vice president of consumer products and partnerships at American Express Canada. "The new card is designed to meet the lifestyle of today's younger consumer, who's looking for customizable products and services that complement their way of life."
