Mitsubishi breaks new campaign

Mitsubishi Motors of Canada will break a new television campaign next week called "Must be the Mitsubishi." The campaign makes use of a 60-second commercial that has also been posted online. The ad, called "Tail," depicts a man in a Mitsubishi Lancer attempting to elude another vehicle. A second commercial called "Kicking Tires" will be released in November. This ad depicts a young boy inspecting a car at a Mitsubishi dealership. A voice-over says, "With a warranty this long, future drivers will want a say too." The campaign was developed by John St. of Toronto. "From a big picture standpoint 'Must be the Mitsubishi' captures the bold, spirited and youthful nature of the brand, while also giving us a platform to deliver the functional benefits of the brand moving forward," said Peter Renz, director of national marketing at Mitsubishi Canada.
