The Toronto-based Royal Agricultural Winter Fair has retained Grip of Toronto as its agency of record. The assignment includes marketing and advertising strategy and planning for the annual event. The marketing effort will include print, radio, out-of-home and digital advertising, as well as live global broadcasting and social media activities. "Grip stood out on a number of levels, but we were truly impressed with their extra effort to tell us something we didn't already know in the pitch process," said Rachel Woodman, director of marketing for the fair. "Grip didn't show us creative for the sake of showing us how creative they are. They gave us a deeper insight into the people who come to our event and into the people we want to attract. There was a simply a deeper passion and commitment towards helping us." The fair will take place this year from Nov. 2 to 11.
