Zellers conducts Festive Finale campaign

Retail chain Zellers has begun a holiday season advertising campaign that addresses the fact that many Zellers stores will close in 2012 to be replaced by Target locations. The campaign, called "Zellers' Festive Finale," consists of a series of online videos in which Zellers employees ask viewers for help in planning the chain's final holiday sale. The initiative was developed by John St. of Toronto. "Facebook was the perfect platform for the idea," said Angus Tucker, the agency's co-creative director. "Our customers are on it and they know how to use it. It's the perfect vehicle to allow people to control the sale. Customers will be able to do everything from set the sale prices of merchandise to picking the in-store music playlist to recording and uploading their own Zellers radio spots."
