EVERYWHERE RELEASES TANGO ENTERPRISE
By Adnews Staff
EveryWare Development Corp. of Mississauga announced on Monday the launch of their latest Internet software called Tango Enterprise, a tool which allows the building of commercial Web applications that link Web servers to a wide variety of databases. It is currently available for Macintosh systems and will be available Aug. 30 on both Windows 95/NT and Solaris platforms. Included is Tango Editor, a visual drag-and-drop development editor that requires no expertise in C, Java, SQL, Perl, or HTML. Tango generates HTML and SQL code while allowing developers to customize and control their applications without locking them into pre-defined forms or templates. Web sites built with the Macintosh version of Tango include on-line commerce systems, corporate directories, inventory management systems, on-line requisition forms, product and pricing catalogues, as well as registration. The software is currently being used by the Bank of Montreal. Advertising plans have not been finalized, but EveryWare spokesperson Desiree Dias told Adnews yesterday that a campaign will probably start in two weeks, including print ads appearing mainly in trade publications. There will also be ads in some commercial publications, such as MacWeek magazine, as well as the possibility of direct mail. Advertising for EveryWare is done by The Taaz Group of Waterloo, Ont.
