GEE, JEFFERY TO DEAL OUT ADS FOR CASINO

Gee, Jeffery & Partners Advertising Inc. has won Casino Niagara's advertising business. The eight other short-listed players at the table have thrown in their cards. "They loved our creative work," agency president Peter Jeffery told Adnews yesterday, "particularly what we did for the CNE and CHUM." Although the details of the campaign are still up in the air, advertising will begin "sometime in October" in advance of the Nov. 15 opening of the casino. Television will be the lead medium, supported by other media likely including print and outdoor. The ads will aim to develop awareness and draw visitors from both Canada and the U.S. According to a release, the budget for the launch program is "understood to be in the $3 million range."
