TELEMEDIA SELLS EQUINOX

Malcolm Publishing of Montreal has bought Equinox magazine from Telemedia Inc. of Toronto. The deal will close at the end of the month. There will be no interruption in publishing the monthly magazine. Telemedia will put out the September issue, and Malcolm's production will begin with the October installment. Equinox reaches 679,000 readers each month, and will continue to be distributed via newsstand and subscription. The magazine was put on the block in June by Telemedia, which puts out 14 publications, including Canadian Living, Homemaker's and TV Guide. Malcolm publishes a number of nature and outdoors magazines, including Canadian Wildlife, Biosphere and Wild for Kids.
