Sponsorship roundup

Sharp Electronics Canada has signed an agreement with Tennis Canada to become a sponsor of the 2011 Rogers Cup women's event in Toronto. Sharp will install approximates 170 LCD television sets at the venue, which will display high-definition footage of the tournament. Attendees will also be able to enter a draw for a 70-inch television set at the company's booth at the event. Sharp will also be the title sponsor of the Stage of Champions, which will be the venue for a variety of events such as musical acts, variety shows, presentations and autograph sessions during the tournament. "We're thrilled to be back supporting Rogers Cup this year," said Chris Matto, director of brand and corporate communications at Sharp. "With Sharp Aquos LCD TVs on-site, fans will have a chance to see all of the action in Toronto and Montreal on the biggest, brightest screens on the market, providing Toronto's tennis fans with a sports viewing experience like no other."
