Porter Airlines breaks first television campaign

Toronto-based Porter Airlines began its first television advertising campaign yesterday. The animated commercials feature the company's raccoon spokescharacter, Mr. Porter, and various moments of his life that demonstrate the airline's services. Three executions, each in 15- and 30-second versions, will air on English stations predominantly in Ontario and Quebec. French-language versions of the ads will break later this month. The campaign was developed by Winkreative. "Porter is always looking for new and interesting ways to reach our passengers and the logical next step in our marketing strategy is to include television advertising," said Elizabeth Margles, vice-president of marketing and communications at Porter Airlines. "The TV spots maintain brand continuity, and help increase general awareness by offering passengers a consistent message about the Porter experience."
