Sponsorship roundup

Burger King has signed-on as a sponsor of specialty channel Teletoon's "Fred At Night" programming block, which airs between 10pm and midnight on Sundays. This is the first time the block has had such a sponsor. On Dec. 12, program host Fred Kennedy received a tattooed on-air while eating a Whiplash Whopper during a series of hosted segments. The sponsorship also included six five-second intro commercials as well as an animated logo on-screen. Additional material appears on the Teletoonatnight.com website. "With a live host on Teletoon at Night and the possibility of having Fred interact with select products on-air, we can now offer clients a number of exciting new sponsorship and integration opportunities targeting an adult 18-to-34 audience," said Sean O'Donoghue, director of sales promotions at Teletoon Canada. "We are thrilled to have partnered with Burger King to create the first campaign of this kind on 'Fred At Night.'"
