Canadian Physiotherapy Association breaks new campaign
By Adnews Staff
The Canadian Physiotherapy Association has begun a new advertising initiative in association with the CBC program Hockey Night in Canada. The television commercial is intended to raise awareness of physiotherapy and make it more accessible to Canadians. The ad, which first aired during the Vancouver Olympic Games, will run during some regular season hockey broadcasts and during some playoff games in May, which is National Physiotherapy Month. The creative depicts physiotherapists providing treatment for a variety of health conditions in various clinical settings. "Physiotherapists are an integral part of the health care continuum in this country," said Alice Aiken, president of the association. "We want Canadians to know the range of services available, and how easy it is to access care."
