Survey: Marketing industry job interviews
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based The Creative Group has released the results of a survey that asked Canadian advertising and marketing executives, on average, how many candidates are interviewed by their companies before an advertising or marketing position is filled. The mean response was six. "Given the high calibre of talent currently available, employers are being prudent in their hiring and are weighing their options before extending an offer," said Lara Dodo, a vice-president at The Creative Group, a specialized staffing service for creative, advertising, marketing and web professionals. The results are based on approximately 200 telephone interviews with executives randomly selected from companies with more than 100 employees and 50 with executives randomly selected from agencies with more than 20 employees.
