Virgin Mobile Canada begins Fearless Day promotion

Virgin Mobile Canada has begun a contest promotion encouraging Canadians to face their fears. The company has designated Nov. 19 as "National Fearless Day" and is inviting consumers to use the day to do something they have been afraid of. Consumers can also submit videos explaining why they think they are fearless to the campaign website at <http://www.nationalfearlessday.ca>. Three finalists will be selected based on public voting. The finalists will travel to Toronto on Nov. 19 to participate in an event called the "National Fearless Championships," which will be judged by company president Richard Branson. The winner will be named Canada's most fearless person and will receive $5,000. "At Virgin we know what it takes to be fearless, whether it’s racing across the Atlantic in record time or launching the first passenger space ship," said Branson. "Sometimes you have to stand up and face what scares you head on. "That's why we've made November 19 National Fearless Day and launched the search to find Canada’s most fearless person."
