Five Toronto firms conduct Marketing Budget Bailout contest
A group of Toronto firms have begun a joint promotion called the "Marketing Budget Bailout." The promotion takes the form of a contest for a marketing campaign worth approximately $300,000. The participating firms are ad agency Elemental, production company Cartilage, public relations firm Kim Graham & Associates, print house Somerset Graphics and photography firm Westside Studio. Companies are invited to enter the contest by describing their marketing problems at the website <http://www.whatsinyourbudget.ca> before Oct. 30. "With a shift to consolidation amongst larger agencies, we are seeing a growth of medium-sized, specialized firms working together in a collaborative fashion," said Brent Wardrop, creative director at Elemental. "We hope this campaign will stimulate new thinking and a more expedient adoption of this new marketing model."
