CN Tower readies new campaign

The CN Tower in Toronto will begin an ad campaign this month intended to raise awareness of the tower as a summer attraction. The creative, developed by The Collective of Toronto, depicts adventurous activities such as surfing, hang gliding and rock climbing taking place in the shadow of the CN Tower. "The CN Tower campaign is designed to remind Ontario residents about the great big adventure in our own backyard," said Lisa Tompkins, director of marketing and communications for the CN Tower. "We have a huge array of activities planned to augment summer visits to the CN Tower so that residents and visitors alike can feel like its never the same experience twice." The campaign will include transit advertising in Toronto and several other markets in southern Ontario. A free-standing insert will be released later in the summer. In addition, promotional workers will visit several shopping malls and Ontario Travel Information Centres in those markets to communicate with consumers in person.
