Yahoo Canada readies national television campaign

Yahoo Canada will begin a new brand campaign on Sunday using the tagline, "Now That's Using Your Yahoo." The campaign, developed by Ogilvy Toronto, is aimed primarily at mothers. It presents the online service as a way to keep in touch with friends and family as well as a place to find information on nutrition, finance and parenting, among other subjects. The creative makes use of an animated purple spokescharacter who provides a woman with information. "Women continue to make the majority of household-related decisions, from meal planning and childcare to family finances," said Sara Moore, marketing director at Yahoo Canada. "Yahoo Canada is a one-stop online destination for busy Canadian moms and heads of households." The national campaign will run until May 4 on television and in theatres.
