Slice conducts Bling it On promotion

Canwest specialty station Slice has begun a national campaign called "Bling it On" to promote its Wednesday-night lineup of celebrity programs. The campaign consists of print, television and online advertising aimed at women between the ages of 18 and 49. The initiative also includes a contest for viewers. The four-week campaign will focus on Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary and Halifax. The creative depicts various personalities features in Slice programs and uses the tagline, "You're Nobody Without Your Own Reality Show." Print ads are running in People, Cosmo, Fashion, Loulou, Hello, Elle and Metro. Television commercials are airing on Slice, Global and various Canwest specialty channels. Online ads are running on Glam.com, Perezhilton.com, Laineygossip.com and TMZ.com. "Slice's multi-platform campaign reinforces the channel's dedication to providing the highly addictive, gratifying programming our viewers have come to expect," said Solange Bernard, director of lifestyle channels marketing strategy. "The added contest element running in print and online not only extends the reach of this season's campaign but also rewards our loyal Slice viewers with the chance to experience the indulgent lifestyles they love to watch." Viewers can enter the contest by submitting a key word displayed during the channel's Wednesday night programming through the Slice.ca website. The winner will receive a trip for two to Los Angeles.
