Doug Agency hired to launch Presto

Toronto-based Doug Agency has been hired as the agency of record for the Presto System. The system is an initiative of the Government of Ontario, Go Transit, OC Transpo in Ottawa and eight municipal transit operators in the Greater Toronto Area. The system will make use of a reloadable card that can be used by riders to pay transit fares. Doug will work to publicize the launch of the system in the fall of 2009. "Presto is a major initiative in building public transit use across Ontario and is a key component in the Ontario Government's environmental and public transit strategy," said agency president Mike Welling. "The Presto team loved the work we have been doing in relaunching the Art Gallery of Ontario and we look forward to applying our creative and strategic talents to make Presto a success."
