Rare Method adds seven

Calgary-based Rare Method Interactive has appointed James Leal-Valias to the position of creative director. He has spent the past seven years at Critical Mass. Wilson Tang has joined the agency in a digital strategy and planning capacity. Michael Tighe has joined the media department to work on search engine optimization and social media activities. Both were also previously at Critical Mass. Chris Dykstra and John Hutchings have joined the firm's client services group. Dykstra was previously at Suitcase Interactive, while Hutchings has previously worked for Bayer, Dow Chemical, Hoffman LaRoche, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer. Jamal Siadat has joined the project management office from Burntsand. Scott Budau has been hired as controller. He was previously the controller for the Calgary Flames. He has also worked for Deloitte & Touche.
