Unilever releases second issue of Shine Magazine

Unilever Canada has released a second annual edition of its promotional publication Shine Magazine, produced in support of its Dove line of products. The magazine contains pictures of approximately 50 Canadian women with no previous modelling experience. Nine women participated in a professional photo shoot for the magazine's feature story. The women were selected from among those who responded to a casting call this spring. "Shine Magazine is full of beautiful, self-confident Canadian women who feel wonderful when their hair is just the way they like it," said Alison Leung, marketing manager for Dove. "These women know that starting their morning with beautiful hair sets the stage for the rest of the day." The magazine will be distributed with some subscription copies of the September and October issues of various Transcontinental magazines. In addition, 50,000 copies will be distributed on newsstands with Elle Canada magazine. The publication will also be posted to the website Dovehair.ca on Aug. 27.
