Toronto-based Astral IMedia has formed an online advertising sales representation agreement with Youth Culture, also based in Toronto. The company will now handle ad sales in Canada for the Vervegirl.com website, the online presence of Vervegirl magazine. The social networking-type website is aimed at young women between the ages of 14 and 24. It offers online profiles, instant messaging and various forms of media sharing. Julie Howlett, director of sales at Astral IMedia, called the deal "a strategic move to strengthen our youth targeted offerings while continuing to provide our clients with custom integrated solutions extending far beyond the ad unit."
