The Province of Ontario has opened an International Marketing Centre in Paris, France. The centre will promote the province to French businesses as "a leading destination for trade and investment." It will also seek to help Ontario businesses operating in France. "There are numerous opportunities for increased trade and partnership between Ontario firms and those in Europe," said Sandra Pupatello, Ontario's Minister of Economic Development and Trade. "We're working to help Ontario businesses make those connections to boost trade and investment. Ontario also provides a great investment location for international businesses looking to enter the North American market. We offer a competitive business environment, a skilled and educated workforce, and a climate supportive of innovation." According to the ministry, approximately 65 French companies have operations in Ontario.
