Heavy, Corus form online video deal

New York-based online entertainment company Heavy has launched an online video service in association with Corus Entertainment called Husky Media Canada. Corus will carry Heavy's videos on the websites of its radio properties, including 102.1 The Edge in Toronto, CFOX in Vancouver, Power 97 in Winnipeg and Q107 in Toronto and Calgary, among others. The videos are aimed primarily at males between the ages of 18 to 34 and focus on topics such as music, video games and comedy. The videos will be played through a branded skin that will allow advertisements to be wrapped around the videos. "Corus' partnership with Husky Media Canada strengthens our distinctive position as the leader in online music and entertainment content on Canadian radio," said David Huszar, general manager of Splice Interactive Media at Corus Entertainment. "We're committed to creating leading edge interactive experiences for increased listener engagement and are confident Heavy's fresh programming will resonate extremely well with our male-oriented radio stations."
